Lionel Messi choose to appear for the first time after the World Cup at the local game
The last World Cup was a bitter one for Lionel Messi. While he made it through to the finals in 2022 and won the competition after a thrilling game with France, this time around he lost his last chance for another title and was visibly distracted after the match. Whole world saw his tears and later on, he admitted that “the pain is huge, and this wound will take time to heal”. Reasonably, he went for a rest after the World Cup and wasn’t seen in public until yesterday. And he choose an interesting place to go to.

Messi decided to come out of the house for the first time after the World Cup and watch – football. Miami’s captain is spending time with his family near his hometown of Rosario and decided to attend a Primera C league match (fourth league) to watch Leones FC, a club run by the Messi family, game against Central Cordoba. Messi arrived at the venue wearing a black hoodie in an attempt to keep a low profile, but obviously, it was a mission impossible. Soon, the mobile cameras turned into his direction and the crowd started to chant his name. Messi waved to the fans and smiled but even his presence couldn't help Leones players as they lost the game 2-0.
The club is owned by the Messi family but the famous Argentinian has another club. In April this year, it was announced that Messi bought Spanish fifth-tier team UE Cornella, which is based just next to Espanyol’s home ground. The former Barcelona player is also a partner in Uruguayan pro team Deportivo LSM alongside his Miami and former Barça teammate Luis Suarez.
