The Gunners haven't tasted victory after 180 minutes of pre-season

Mikel Arteta's side fought heavily to clinch a draw against Steven Gerrard's Glasgow Rangers in the second friendly in Scotland

A 2-1 defeat to Hibernians is followed by a 2-2 draw against Glasgow Rangers.

That's the Arsenal pre-season output so far, and it's all but satisfying for the coach Mikel Arteta and millions of fans around the world.

The Gunners' defence is highly vulnerable, and four conceded goals in two games tell a story for themselves.

Sure, Steven Gerrard's outfit is the champion of Scotland, and the new EPL season hasn't even started, but it's disturbing to be behind for most of the game for the club of Arsenal's ilk and history.

Nuno Tavares, the Portuguese left-back signed from Benfica and making his Gunners debut, rifled in a leveller from close range 22 minutes, before Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, who missed an earlier chance, headed a cross from Cedric Soares wide.

Rangers striker Cedric Itten headed in a corner from fellow substitute Glenn Middleton in the 75th minute. Another replacement, Stephen Kelly, blasted a shot straight at Arsenal substitute 'keeper Karl Hein.

However, in the 83rd minute, Arsenal substitute Eddie Nketiah levelled with a drive from 10 yards after slack defending from the home side.

Arsenal will start their 2021/22 Premier League campaign away at Brentford on Saturday, August 14.
