Benjamin Sesko says yes to Arsenal - are they ready to splash out 75 million euros to RB Leipzig for the striker?

Mikel Arteta's side are keen to strengthen in attack in the off-season with Gabriel Jesus having struggled for form and fitness in recent times, while Eddie Nketiah has fallen out of favour, with Kai Havertz the Spaniard's preferred option up-front.

One does not need a rocket scientist to figure out that Arsenal need a proper striker and reportedly the Emirates club has some good news going their way. RB Leipzig's Benjamin Sesko reportedly favours a move to North London this summer.

A whole host of top clubs clamouring for the Slovenian's signature. Man United and Chelsea are also interested in 20-year-old Sesko, who scored 18 goals in all competitions this season.

As reported by The Mirror, the Gunners are now in pole position with the Slovenian preferring a move to the Emirates over their rivals.

The forward's agent, Elvis Basanovic, was at Arsenal's clashes with Chelsea and United.

'I am not thinking about where I want to go next,' he said. 'I don’t have a favourite club to be. It’s important to make the right decision from where I have been. I just want to focus on here and let’s see what happens.' Sesko said back in October 2023.

'It’s hard to say what will happen, you know? I could be great or not that great! Of course, it would be nice to play there [in the Premier League] but first of all let’s focus on right now.'

It was previously reported that he had a release clause of 50,000,000 euros, but Sky Germany claimed this has risen due to his excellent form, with it believed to now be as high as 75,000,000 euros.

Sesko joined Leipzig last summer after four years with their sister club Red Bull Salzburg, where he netted 29 times in 79 games. Leipzig enjoyed a good season, finishing fourth and securing a place in next season's Champions League.

Sesko will be heading to Euro 2024, with Slovenia set to compete in the tournament for the first time since 2000. The talented striker has scored 11 goals in 28 games for his country.
