The relationship between Leonardo Bonucci and Juventus has gone utterly sour
The story between Juventus and their former captain Leonardo Bonucci is not over yet. The Italian defender, who was sidelined from the squad three months ago, which pushed him towards the exit door and the move to Union Berlin, has decided to pursue legal action against the Bianconeri.
On Tuesday morning, Bonucci's lawyers have officially taken legal action outlined in the collective agreement. This action consists of a claim for damages due to the alleged lack of adequate training and preparation conditions provided to the legendary centre-back, resulting in professional and image-related damages. From the celebrated defender's perspective, this decision is not a personal feud but a matter of legitimate principle. He has chosen to pursue this action not only for himself but also for other players who have faced or are facing similar situations to those he experienced, without the means to react.
According to the player, the situations he had to deal with when sidelined from the squad were considered "abnormal" for a professional. This included having to train in the evening at different times from his teammates without ever meeting the coaching staff. Bonucci also had restricted access to the gym, pool, and restaurant or lacked proper assistance. The club's decision not to include him in the list of players for selection made him feel intentionally abandoned as part of a strategy he believes was premeditated.
Bonucci has specified that any monetary settlement resulting from this action will be donated to Neuroland, an association that supports the families of children hospitalized in the pediatric neurosurgery department of the Regina Margherita Children's Hospital in Turin, and Live Onlus, which acquires and donates defibrillators to sports clubs and schools.

It's not about the money but about pride and justice. It's shaping up as a terrible week for Juventus, as only a day earlier their midfielder Paul Pogba was suspended on doping charges.
