There can be only one in Italy, and that's Inter! Nerazzurri deservedly beat Juve

Gatti's first-half own goal results in a win for the table-toppers, who are now four points clear of the Bianconeri with a game in hand, too

In leagues like the Serie A, where the favourites usually don't drop points in the games against the minnows, the titles are often decided in - derbies.

And one the most significant ones, between Inter Milan and Juventus, was decided tonight in Nerazzurri's favour, 1-0. Marcus Thuram's first-half header deflected off Juve's defender Federico Gatti and went straight into the back of the net.

That 37-minute own goal proved to be a crucial moment of the match, as the hosts thus went four points clear of their rival at the summit.

Massimiliano Allegri's team was eager to grab at least a draw at the mythical Guiseppe Meazza, but Aleksandar Vlahovic was isolated up front for most of the time, lacking spaces and chances to showcase his attacking potential.

Simone Inzaghi's boys were coming closer to scoring on more occasions, and only a tad bit of patience and composure in the final third prevented them from rushing to a more routine win.

Calhanoglou's second-half missile ended on a bar, while Barella's resolute volley from the edge of the six-yard box was denied by Wojciech Szczesny, who added another miraculous stop to his account minutes from time, when he ruined Arnautovic's clear-cut tap-in.

Ironically, Juve's finest opportunity to bring the suspense back came via the very same Gatti. However, his strong effort went just a little wide off the right post.
