Simone Iznaghi and Marcus Thuram have not only won the Scudetto with Inter but probably deserve the most praise for such an achievement
Living in the shadows for a long time can hurt you, especially if that's the shadow of your closest ones, like in the cases of Simone Inzaghi and Marcus Thuram.
The former is the younger brother of former AC Milan and Italy striker Phillipo Pipo, who spent most of his footballing career on the edge of an offside. Still, Inzaghi Sr. is still considered one of the best-ever poachers, winning two Champions League titles and numerous Serie A trophies with the Rossonerri.

On the other hand, Thuram Jr is the older son (Kephren is the younger) of the renowned Juventus, Barcelona and France defender Lilian, who won the World Cup title with Les Bleus in 1998.
Although Inzaghi and Thuram have proved their qualities many times in previous years, until last night, they were mainly known as 'the brother' and 'the son'.

He spent six years learning with the Lazio youth squads before eventually taking over the first team in 2016. During five years in the Italian capital, Inzaghi won a Coppa Italia title and two Super Cup trophies.
However, Inzaghi still raised some eyebrows when he joined Inter in June 2021 to replace Antonio Conte.
In his first season with the Nerazzurri, Pipo's brother finished just two points behind Milan in the Serie A, reaching the Champions League knockout stage. The second season saw Inter falling behind Napoli in the title race but making it all the way to the UCL showdown, where they lost 1-0 to Manchester City.
And now, Simone has finally silenced the critics. He transformed Inter into a dominant force, using the Champions League final defeat to create chemistry inside the team that would push them far above all other domestic rivals in the current Serie A campaign.
From Monday night, Pipo Inzaghi will be known as Simone's brother and Lilian Thuram as Marcus' father.
