Inter win again thanks to a ridiculous Federico Dimarco long-range strike
A spectacular long-range strike by Federico Dimarco paved the way for Inter Milan's 2-0 victory over Frosinone on Sunday night, propelling them back to the summit of Serie A just before the international break. It's fitting that the tireless wiingback has scored the much-talked-about goal because his workrate and dedication certainly deserve it.
The confidence within the Inter camp was evident as Dimarco unleashed a remarkable shot from beyond the halfway line, catching Frosinone's goalkeeper Stefano Turati off guard as the ball found the net under the crossbar. It's been calculated that the ball was exactly 56 metres away from goal at the moment of the hit. Impressive!
"At first, I saw Denzel running into space looking for the ball. But then I saw the goalkeeper was out of his line, and I took a shot. Thank goodness it went in. Otherwise, I would have received insults I couldn't even imagine. It's definitely one of the most beautiful goals I've scored."

The 26-year-old Italian international has already hit one terrific goal this season, a breathtaking winner away at Empoli in September. He doesn't seem to score very often - but when he does, his goals are worth seeing!
Dimarco is having a great year, indeed. He reached a UEFA Champions League final with his beloved Inter and is playing in the form of his life. After the game, he published the photo of him scoring one of the goals of the season with a caption stylishly recalling his journey in football - through all the clubs he played for before he joined the team he supported as a boy.
"This shot started in Porta Romana (the part of Milan where he was born), passed through Interello, Ascoli, Empoli, Sion, Parma Verona and arrived to the stadium of my dreams."
Last week, Dimarco turned 26 and had a nice celebration with his close friends and family. While most footballers love to be seen in hip clubs and discos, those who know the guy say he prefers peace and quiet. He's not the one to go wild like Jack Grealish!
But besides that and the world-class goal he scored, there will be more reasons to celebrate. According to Gazzetta Dello Sport, Inter will offer Dimarco a new contract to run until July 2028 - and double his salary. He's now paid around $2.3 million per year, and the new signature will make that number well over $4.3 million. Hey, he deserved it.
Shortly after the break at Giuseppe Meazza, Hakan Calhanoglu extended Inter's lead by converting a penalty kick as the Nerazzurri strolled to another three points. While only Juventus, among Inter's title rivals, secured a win over the weekend, the two giants are set to clash in the next round of matches in Turin. A noticeable gap is emerging below these traditional powerhouses as AC Milan and Napoli keep losing ground in the league standings.

Simone Inzaghi's exuberant Inter has secured ten victories in 12 games, amassing 31 points. Massimiliano Allegri's Juventus follows closely with 29 points. AC Milan sits in third place with 23 points, having surrendered a 2-0 lead to Lecce. Defending champions Napoli find themselves in fourth place with 21 points after a defeat to Empoli.
Dimarco and his black-and-blue team keep pushing forward.
