Louis Van Gaal was eager to sign a prolific midfielder back in 2015. Even the clubs agreed, but Mrs Muller was having none of it

However, the one he failed with was maybe the most exquisite - Thomas Muller. A prolific Bayern Munich and German attacking midfielder was the first name on Van Gaal's wishlist, reveals much-respected journalist Christian Falk in his new book "Bayern Insider".
Falk claims that Van Gaal called Miller to join him at Manchester twice. For the first time, Bayern did not want to let him go, but in the summer of 2015 - an agreement was on the horizon.
And what kind - Manchester United offered around 100,000,000 euros!

A contract with a salary of 20,000,000 euros per season was ready for Miller. He couldn't even hope for that much money at Allianz Arena. Only Robert Lewandowski was at that level. However, Muller's wife Lisa said - NO!
