Too easy for such net-buster: Kane bags hat-trick in another Bayern's win

After a so-so first half, the Bavarians easily overpowered Hoffenheim on the road 4-1, while the Englishman scored three goals, two of which from the spot

Give this man a tougher challenge! After netting a brace against Chelsea three days ago, Harry Kane bagged a hat-trick in Hoffenheim's net in Bayern Munich's easy 4-1 triumph.

The Englishman broke the deadlock shortly before the break, while goals #2 and #3 came from the spot in the 62nd and 77th minutes, respectively, while Serge Gnabry set the final score deep in added time.

The home team was excellent in the first 45 minutes, and they were deservedly rewarded with a consolation goal, scored by ex-West Ham man Vladimir Coufal in the 82nd minute.

Following Bayern's magnificent performance in their opening Champions League match against Chelsea, many expected Vincent Kompany's crew to easily smash Hoffenheim on the road. However, since the first referee's whistle, it was clear that the home team wouldn't succumb just like that.

In the opening half, Hoffenheim had as many as nine shots, and wasted three excellent chances over Fisnik Asllani, who hit the post, Bernardo, whose header went narrowly wide, and Muhammed Damar, whom Kim Min-jae prevented from scoring with a fantastic goal-line clearance with his shoulder!

On the other hand, the Bavarians had five attempts (all on target), but all but one were relatively mild. Nevertheless, the first notable one hit the mark and Bayern broke the deadlock!

Just a minute before the break, the 17-year-old Lennart Karl took a corner kick and found Harry Kane in the box with a low cross, which the Englishman smashed into Oliver Baumann's net, giving the visitors a vital lead.

Still, the Munich side's work was far from done.

Not even a whole minute after the break, over 30,000 people at PreZero Arena were shocked, as the Bavarians were awarded a penalty due to Albian Hajdari's handball. Kane took no prisoners and doubled the lead, putting Bayern in a comfortable position.

Although the visitors threatened a couple more times over Luis Diaz and the young Karl, Kompany was apparently dissatisfied with his team's display, as he made a triple sub in the 62nd minute, subbing in "heavy artillery" embodied in Joshua Kimmich, Michael Olise, and Serge Gnabry, who had all been starters against Chelsea three days ago.

Those changes paid off a quarter of an hour before the end, as the former Crystal Palace forward went down in the box following Bernardo's tackle, and Bayern were rewarded another spot kick, which Kane easily converted, completing his ninth Bundesliga hat-trick!

Eight minutes before the end, the former West Ham defender, Vladimir Coufal scored a consolation goal for Hoffenheim, though Kimmich helped him, as the German's deflection tricked Manuel Neuer following the Czech's free-kick effort.

Still, the last goal in the match was scored by the visitors, as Serge Gnabry put a cherry on top of Bayern's victory deep in added time following a counterattack.

After this fourth-round victory, the Bavarians kept the perfect Bundesliga score, while Hoffenheim suffered their second league defeat this season, and currently sit in eight position.
