Tough afternoon for Kenyans abroad as Anyembe, Timbe, Kamau all miss action

Timbe has not featured for Buriram United this season.
It was a tough afternoon for Kenyan footballers plying their trade abroad as Ayub Timbe, Daniel Anyembe, and Bruce Kamau all missed the matchday squads for Buriram United, Viborg FF, and OFI Crete respectively.
Daniel Anyembe
The Kenyan defender was missing from the matchday squad through injury for Viborg FF as they picked up an impressive 1-1 away draw to Danish giants Midtjylland.
After a slow start to the encounter, the game finally burst into life with two minutes left on the clock to the halftime whistle when Jay-Roy Grot struck for Viborg.
Their lead was not meant to last though as Midtjylland wasted no time in drawing level through Kristoffer Olsson as both teams went into the halftime break locked in a 1-1 draw.
Neither team could find the back of the net in the closing half as they both settled for a point following a 1-1 draw.
Ayub Timbe
The Kenyan international continued to miss from the Buriram United matchday squad as they thumped Prachuap 3-1 in the Thai Premier League.
It is unclear why Timbe has been missing the match day squads for Buriram as he is yet to turn out for the club this season.
The game was off to a frenetic start as Supachai Jaided opened the scoring for Buriram in the 10th minute but Prachuap pulled level in the 16th minute courtesy of Brazilian forward Samuel.
Goran Causic restored Buriram’s lead as they went into the halftime break with a healthy 3-1 lead as Jaided grabbed his brace in the opening 45 minutes.
The second half was a muted affair as both teams could not add on to their tally with Buriram holding on to their 3-1 victory.

The midfielder was another one of those Kenyans who missed the matchday squad as his OFI Crete suffered a 2-0 defeat at the hands of Asteras Tripolis in the Greek Super League.
Leonardo Costa opened the scoring for Asteras in the 19th minute as Michael Gardawski put them in a commanding lead with a goal in the 44th minute and that is how things ended.
