Midfielder willing to rejoin Ingwe less than a week after leaving

Hardly four days after leaving AFC Leopards, Said Tsuma says he is open to negotiating a new deal and extending his stay at the club.

The defensive midfielder left the den last week on Friday after his contract expired and has since returned to Mombasa where he says he is keeping fit on his own.

He was part of the five senior players who the club announced that their contracts had expired on the eve of their league match against Bandari.

The hard tackling midfielder who clinched the 2017 CECAFA Senior Challenge with Harambee Stars has revealed that he is ready for a second spell at the club should the management reach out and meet his demands.

Tsuma joined Leopards in June 2018 from the defunct Thika United and shockingly exited last week in spite of Football Kenya Federation extending the validity of this season's contracts to next month.

"I wouldn't mind returning to Leopards for another stint. If they are interested in my services and are ready to negotiate then I will listen to them. It is a big club which every player wants to put on their shirt. Should they come for me with a better package then I will rejoin them, " he said.

Tsuma announced his arrival in the top flight in 2016 when Thika captured his signature after completing his secondary school studies at the Kisumu Day.

He ditched the club for Leopards in 2018 in part of the mass exodus witnessed at the club after they were axed to the National Super League after finishing last in the season.

The midfielder says should Leopards remain mum, he will cast his net wider when the transfer window opens.

"I haven't received any offer from the time Leopards announced that my contract had expired. If I do not hear from them soon, I will start looking for a new club," he said.
