The first match of the day will see Posta Rangers welcome Nairobi City Stars at Kenyatta Stadium, Machakos from 1300hrs

The FKF Premier League returns today, Saturday 11 January 2025 after a three weeks hiatus occasioned by the Christmas break and a one week postponement by the Football Kenya Federation (FKF).

There will be three league matches played today across two venues and a total of six matches over this weekend.

Three matches that involve Gor Mahia, Kenya Police and KCB were postponed due to the involvement of at least three of their players in the Harambee Stars squad competing in the Mapinduzi Cup.

Posta Rangers vs Nairobi City Stars

The first match of the day will see Posta Rangers welcome Nairobi City Stars at Kenyatta Stadium, Machakos from 1300hrs in what will be the first of a double-header in the venue.

Posta Rangers are at the bottom of the 18-team table with 11 points after 14 rounds of matches and will begin life without head coach Benard Kawinzi who was sent packing after following the poor start to the season that includes only two wins.

Simba Wa Nairobi, on the other hand, are 13th in the table with 16 points after 15 rounds of matches and will have to look for their first win in four matches without their star player Mohammed Bajaber who is away with the Harambee Stars.

Shabana vs Tusker

Shabana will face off with Tusker in the second match of the day which will be played at the Gusii Stadium in Kisii from 1400 hrs.

Ahead of the match, Shabana are ninth with 20 points after an impressive run since the appointment of coach Peter Okidi.

They will be banking on the home support as they aim to bounce back to winning ways following their 1-0 defeat to Mathare United in their last league match.

Tusker are joint league leaders with KCB having amassed 27 points so far this season, and will be looking forward to continuing their impressive run that has seen them win six of their last seven matches.

However, The Brewers will have to fight without Shaphan Siwa who left the club for Kagera Sugar as well as influential duo of Chrispine Erambo and top scorer Ryan Ogam who are away with the Harambee Stars.

FC Talanta vs Kakamega Homeboyz

The last match of the day will be between Talanta and Homeboyz who will battle it out at Kenyatta Stadium, Machakos from 1600hrs.

Talanta are in the relegation zone at 16th with 14 points after 15 matches and will be aiming at breaking their three-match winless run.

They will have to do so without head coach Jackline Juma however, who is leading the Kenya Academy of Sports (KAS) team in the CAF GIFT tournament.

Mozzart Bet-sponsored Homeboyz are winless in their last four matches and find themselves at position 14 with 16 points, and will be aiming at victory without their main striker Moses Shumah who is on national team duty.
