UCL: Datro Fofana scores his first Champions League goal to gift his side with a point at Napoli

A point Union Berlin grabbed at the stadium Diego Armando Maradona in Naples on Wednesday night won't be worth too much in terms of the battle for the Champions League knockout stage. Still, the German team have plenty of reasons to smile.

Not only did they win their only point so far in the UCL, but they managed to bounce back from a one-goal deficit and stay in the contest for the win until the last minute. Union's hero was David Datro Fofana, who scored the equaliser, his first goal of the entire season in the 13th appearance.

The Ivorian striker on loan from Chelsea netted after a counter a few minutes into the second half.

Firstly, he sprinted away, setting up Becker for a curler palmed away with one hand by Meret, then being ready to turn in the rebound for 1-1.

Napoli had taken the lead through Matteo Politano and were close to restoring it as Khvicha Kvaratskhelia first fired straight at the goalkeeper and a few minutes later took a stunning volley from 12 yards straight into the arms of the goalkeeper.
