Gaspo and Wadadia are tied at the top on both points and goals after the first round
Kenya Women Premier League (WPL) is set to enter the second round on Tuesday with six matches lined up.
Ulinzi Starlets host Vihiga Queens at Utalii Grounds in the clash of the titans for the matchday as both teams seek to grab a second win having won their season openers earlier.
For Vihiga Queens, it will be a revenge mission against the Soldiers who beat them to clinch the inaugural Football Kenya Federation (FKF) Women's Cup in October thanks to goals from Lucy Mukhwana and Emily Egesa.
Ulinzi Starlets head coach Joseph Mwanza is upbeat ahead of the match, affirming that they are going for the three points in the match.
We are well prepared for the match having in mind the work we have put in preparation for the game. It will be a tough game considering that they (Vihiga) are the reigning CECAFA region champions and represented the country in CAF Women Champions League but I know that my team is equal to the task. We beat them in the Cup but that was a different game, and this is a new season. We are going for the three points," Mwanza told Mozzart Sport
His Vihiga Queens counterpart, Boniface Nyamunyamu, will be enjoying a full squad in this game and says that they will approach the game just like any other in the league.
"This will be just a normal league match like any other and we have prepared well for it. We arrived in Nairobi on time and rested well and we wil be fresh for the game. We do not have any injuries and our squad is intact," Nyamunyamu said.
League leaders Gaspo Women who hit Kisumu All Starlets six in the opening match will be hoping to continue their winning start when they come up against Kayole Starlets who will be looking for their first win of the season at Barclays Club.
Kisumu Allstarlets make the trip to the capital and will be seeking to bounce back from the heavy loss at home when they play Zetech Sparks at GEMS Cambridge.
Reigning champions Thika Queens will be up against first-timers Bunyore Starlets at Mumboha Stadium in Bungoma. Just like Kisumu Allstarlets, Bunyore suffered a humiliating defeat in their first game of the campaign.
