Under the radar AFC Leopards signing aiming to solve goal drought

Ingwe have only scored two goals this season through Marvin Nabwire and Saad Musa.

Kenyan giants AFC Leopards bolstered the team with a handful of signings before the closure of the transfer window with one signing Eugine Pedro Musilwa who went under the radar hoping to be Patrick Aussems' wildcard.

Ingwe are in a torrid run of form and are currently enduring a run of four consecutive defeats that leave them hovering perilously close to the relegation zone.

Speaking to Mozzart Sport, Pedro who is now on his second stint at the Den after he ended his three-year stint with the club back in 2018 is adamant the team can turn their fortunes around.

“When we work as a unit we can turn things around, what I have seen is that the players are ready to fight and it is a team that can win the title if they keep the team intact in the coming years,”

“I’m an attacking midfielder but can play as a striker or a second striker, I know how to get the ball from the midfielders and feed the forwards,” said Pedro.

The midfielder was part of Serbian giants Partizan youth system before joining AFC Leopards in 2015 with a move to FC Baku in Azerbaijan soon following as he was last in the book of Kibera Black Stars.

Pedro waxed lyrical about Aussems as he is ready to fit into his style of play and opened up about settling at Inge where he already feels at home.

“I have played under a number of foreign coaches including (Zdravko) Logarušić but he (Aussems) is one of the best. Football has a number of aspects, most people know off the ball and on the ball but he teaches a lot of tactics,”

“I have settled in at AFC Leopards well, I enjoy the training sessions which I usually look forward to because the coach surprises you everyday by building your character,” added Pedro.
