United or Atleti? Ajax or Benfica? Tonight, we're getting two more UCL quarter-finalists

There are eight passengers and only four tickets left for the train travelling to the UEFA Champions League quarter-final. Who will board it?

Manchester United last reached the quarter-finals of the Champions League in 2019, where they lost 4-0 on aggregate to Barcelona. In the first leg against Atletico, Anthony Elanga netted a late equaliser to cancel out Joao Felix's opener. Tonight, they go again!

Atletico are on a three-game winning run since drawing with United and are fourth in La Liga, while United continue to play inconsistently in the Premier League. None of that will matter much when these teams meet at Old Trafford tonight.

The Red Devils' interim boss Ralf Rangnick called the fans to help them the same way they helped in their win over Spurs last weekend.

"We want players and supporters to be on top form, like Spurs. They can make it a very special experience for everybody. We have to create those moments."

The German will have his entire squad available with only Luke Shaw a possible absentee. On the other side, their visitors from the Spanish capital will have to do without Yannick Carrasco, Matheus Cunha, Daniel Wass, Sime Vrsaljko and Thomas Lemar. Nevertheless, their coach Diego Simeone wants his players to be on top of their game - just like he always does.

"We know the potential and how important the opponent we're facing, and I'm sure that we'll do the best we can in the game. I think we'll do what the team requires, we'll work on our attacking threat from the front, that's where our initial defensive block starts. When we have to track back, we will do. We're really up for the game."

Dutch champions Ajax looked like the dominant team when they visited Benfica, but the resilient Portuguese team battled to an entertaining 2-2 draw. The decision will be made tonight in Amsterdam as Sebastian Haller, Steven Berghuis and Dusan Tadic look to get the better of Darwin Nunez, Adel Taarabt and Rafa Silva.
