The England international shone at Elland Road, scored a brace, and brought Unai Emery's team a deserved road triumph
The ongoing Premier League campaign didn't start well for Aston Villa, as the Birmingham side seriously struggled for some time. Villa's fans had hoped Ollie Watkins or Jadon Sancho would save them, but the man they actually needed was Morgan Rogers.
The England international shone again today in the Villans' well-deserved road triumph at Elland Road against Leeds United - 2-1.
A Morgan Rogers double, including a sumptuous free kick, saw Aston Villa come from behind to beat Leeds United at Elland Road.

The home crew broke the deadlock just eight minutes into the game thanks to a quite controversial goal. The VAR room reacted after a melee in Villa's box, and when everyone expected Lukas Nmecha's opener to be ruled out for offside, handball, or a foul, the ref Robert Jones pointed to the centre.
Lukas Nmecha has given Leeds United an early lead against Aston Villa, although he didn't know too much about it.

However, that didn't dishearten the visitors, though they barely threatened before the break, as one Watkins' effort off the mark was their only notable move.
Nevertheless, Unai Emery's men opened the second half with new energy, levelling only three minutes after the break when Rogers superbly found the net following the sub Donyell Malen's cross.
Until the 75th minute, the teams fought, but nothing changed, and then, the moment of truth arrived, once again directed by Rogers. This time, a quarter of an hour before the end, he scored a free-kick screamer, completing a brace and putting a hero's cape on his back!

Luckily for the Villans, the equalizer Dominic Calvert-Lewin netted just two minutes later didn't stand for offside, so they managed to defend their lead and record a vital comeback win, which moved them to a fourth EPL spot, while the Whites remained at the edge of the relegation zone.
