The Spanish press consider the deal to be done
If at the end of November the tolerance threshold of Real Madrid was being tested, and the question hanging in the air was how much longer the Royal Club was willing to endure the uniqueness, immaturity, and stubbornness of Vinícius Junior, three weeks later the atmosphere is completely different. According to Spanish outlet AS, after he “stole” the most well-informed Real Madrid reporter from the prestigious Marca, Jose Felix Díaz, the Brazilian is now set to sign a new contract at the Santiago Bernabeu!
🚨 BREAKING: Both Vinícius Jr. and Real Madrid want to EXTEND the player’s contract.

Despite the outburst in El Clasico—storming off the pitch without greeting coach Xabi Alonso, who decided to substitute him about twenty minutes before the end—there is only one scenario in Valdebebas: the one in which one of the best wingers on the planet extends his contract. Negotiations to extend the deal, which expires on June 30, 2027, opened in February this year. However, since no final word was reached and no handshake took place, the following months brought a tense atmosphere within the 15-time European champions. Still, in recent weeks, both sides have taken key steps toward exiting the suffocating labyrinth and reaching an inevitable agreement.
The resolution of the situation was helped by the fiery Brazilian’s apology to the locker room, but above all by his conversation with Xabi Alonso, who publicly stated that he liked what he saw and heard from his star. Even though he has, many times over the years, damaged the club’s image, the symbiosis between Real and Vini has never been in doubt. The Brazilian has decided Champions League finals, has often been a key piece in Real’s trophy hunts, and let’s not forget that last year—no matter how unsporting the gesture—the club stood by its forward and refused to attend the Ballon d’Or ceremony after the award slipped away from him. There are not many players in modern football who generate so much noise. Vinícius’s difficult temperament and quarrelsome nature will ignite Europe many times throughout the season, but it seems that even for a club like Real Madrid, it is an enormous luxury to give up one of the best footballers on the planet.
