Vivian Corazone Aquino, Ruth Ingosi, and Jentrix Shikangwa were in action for Simba while Wincate Kaari and Foscah Kanenge did duty for the opponents in the match.

Five Kenyan players were involved as Simba Queens and Yanga Princess played to a one-all draw in the Kariakoo Derby in a league match at the Benjamin Mkapa Stadium on Thursday afternoon.

Vivian Corazone Aquino, Ruth Ingosi, and Jentrix Shikangwa were in action for Simba while Wincate Kaari and Foscah Kanenge did duty for the opponents in the match.

The former Gaspo Women midfielder, Vivian Corazone, scored Simba's goal to rescue a point for his side from the bench, being the only player of the five not to have been named in the starting line up.

Yanga Princess took the lead in the game late in the second half in stoppage time through Chioma Wogu who headed home from a corner but Corazone restored matters 13 minutes into the second half, shortly after coming on.

In October, both Shikangwa and Ingosi were omitted from the traveling party to Morocco for the CAF Women's Champions League finals following their late registration meaning that they were not recognized as Simba players.

However, the transfer window opened last week as communicated by the Tanzania Football Federation saw the two registered and featured immediately, both of them getting the starting nod.

It was not an all-new experience for Shikangwa playing against Yanga as she even scored them in October in a pre-season friendly match dubbed Women's Sports Festival as Simba won 2-0.
