Wadadia end the season with a clash against Thika Queens.

WADADIA FC midfielder Faith Ivy Omondi is setting her eyes on making the Team of the Season after being voted as April's best player in the Kenya Women Premier League (KWPL) in the monthly award by KEFWA where she walked home with a personalized trophy and ten thousand shillings.

The 22-year-old was instrumental for the Mumias-based side and trounced over Ulinzi Starlets' Cindy Ngaira and Belinda Christine of Kisumu All Starlets to win the award.

Speaking ahead of their final league match against Thika Queens, the midfielder noted that she was now shifting focus on putting her best in the last match to help her side finish on a high, and possibly making the season's best 11.

"I am very happy for winning this award. It has been a tough season and this means that the efforts and hard work I put in place with the support of my teammates and coaches have been appreciated. I am now looking forward to finishing the season superbly and also making the KEFWA 11 team of the season," she said.

Her exploits saw her coach Sylvanus Wesonga wax lyrical on her contribution to the team throughout the season, expressing his delight and contentment that Ivy's performance has been rewarded rightfully.

"We are happy and I am personally proud of her achievement. Ivy is disciplined and committed to training. The good performances showcased in the league matches have now been rewarded," coach Wesonga said.
