Police head coach Nicholas Muyoti says his side has no intentions of giving up the crown without a fight and believes Sunday’s crunch clash against Gor Mahia at Nyayo Stadium offers the perfect platform to send a strong statement in the title run-in.
Speaking to the club's media team ahead of the highly anticipated encounter, Muyoti pointed to the remarkable turnaround the side has experienced since his arrival midway through the campaign.
He also credited the players for embracing the challenge and responding positively during a difficult period.
“From the time I came, the progression has been well, and confidence has been growing. I am happy with the output, the response, and the manner in which we have fought back as a team,” said Muyoti.
“We are not done with the title. We are still in it, fighting, and we will fight to the end. The game against Gor is a perfect opportunity to send that statement, and I believe the boys will show just that.
The boys know the league is running away, but they are in for the fight. They have told me they are still in it, so we have to push until the end. Facing Gor Mahia is a motivation in itself, and I know they will rise to the occasion.”
His sentiments were echoed by experienced defender Abud Omar, who praised the team’s preparations ahead of what could prove to be one of the defining fixtures in the closing stages of the season.
“The training and preparation have been good. We are braced for Gor. They have a tough team, and we will need to be at our best,” Omar stated.

The Law Enforcers are currently unbeaten in seven matches across all competitions, including the league and the Mozzart Bet Cup, with their recent performances reviving belief within the camp.
Notably, they arrive for the Gor Mahia showdown barely a month after handing rivals AFC Leopards a damaging 3-0 defeat at the same venue, a result that significantly dented Ingwe’s title ambitions.
Police will now hope to derail Gor Mahia’s march toward another league title, although K’Ogalo still remain firmly in control of the race after winning the first leg meeting between the two sides 2-0 earlier in the season.
Meanwhile, the Green Army has intensified mobilisation efforts ahead of the blockbuster fixture by urging supporters to take advantage of discounted ticket bundles.
The club announced that fans purchasing tickets in groups of four will pay Ksh1,000 instead of the usual combined Ksh1,200.
“Fans are encouraged to buy tickets now to avoid the hustle and delays,” part of the club statement read.
Gor also cautioned supporters against waiting until matchday to secure tickets, warning that heavy traffic on the ticketing portal could lead to delays or them being locked out of the much-anticipated encounter.
