Salim Ali has returned to his role at the Federation and has been maximizing his spare time by spending time with the family.
Former Mathare United head coach Salim Ali has been spending time with the family and has reverted to his coaching instructor role at the Football Kenya Federation (FKF).
Salim was shown the door at Mathare back in May after a string of poor results that led to the club being embroiled in a relegation dogfight.
Speaking to Mozzart Sport, the tactician revealed that he is utilizing his spare time by spending time with the family following his departure from the Slum Boys.
“Right now I’m spending quality time with my family which is very important but that is not to say that the pressure of the job affected my relationship with them,”
“This is not the first time that Mathare has been in a relegation battle but of course I was not spending enough time with them because sometimes we used to travel for away games,” said Salim.

Former Wazito FC head coach Frank Ouna was tasked with taking over the reins from Salim at Mathare United but is yet to turn the fortunes of the club around as he has only picked up a point in three games.
The Royal Dutch Football Association (KNVB) license holder added that he has returned back to his role of coaching instruction at the Kenyan federation.
“I’m back at the federation because I have been a KNVB world instructor, I had to put this aside because of Mathare United but now I’m back. The Federation had called me to do the instruction and curriculum which is still football,” said Salim.
