When we win, I'm a visionary. When I lose, I'm an idiot

Pep Guardiola doesn't care about what anyone says
If you're good at what you do - you know it and you don't need anyone to tell you. When you make a mistake - you're the first to know. And, again, you don't need anyone to point it out. But in the world of top-class football, you'll have thousands of people with something to say.

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola was in the mood to chat with the press ahead of his team's Champions League match against Atletico Madrid. After one of the attending journalists said that Pep was the most important person for the English club, he denied it with some swagger.
"It would be nice id I could agree with you, but the truth is that I didn't invent football. I don't do anything that hasn't been done in the prehistoric ages. I don't score goals for Manchester City nor I save penalty kicks. I wish I were that important, but I'm not. But I am a very good coach. I haven't invented anything, I do what coaches have been doing with their teams for ages."
Pep Guardiola: "There is a misconception, wrong, about the way he [Diego Simeone] plays. It's more offensive than people believe. He doesn't want to take a risk in the build up but they have quality in the final third..." #UCL pic.twitter.com/gsUeBMRTHS

The former Barcelona player and manager joked about how the press' and the fans' views on him change with every passing game, hinting that he won't let the others influence his work with their comments.
"People say I'm a visionary when we win. And when we lose, they say: 'What the hell is this guy doing?!' I have ideas for my players, I try to convey messages to them, but I don't play. I wish I could pass the ball like I'd done a thousand years ago. But the game belongs to the players - not to me. The coaches are there just to help them a little."
Winning the Champions League with Manchester City is Guardiola's ultimate goal. It's the trophy the Sky Blues owners and fans want badly - and they believe that the Catalan tactician is the man to lead the team to glory.
