Charismatic Chelsea's full-back has quite an original explanation about the missing medal, which involves the US President Donald Trump
One thing's certain about current US President Donald Trump - he won't leave you indifferent to his moves and behaviour. Chelsea players and staff witnessed one of those showtime moments of his during the recent FIFA Club World Cup final.
Trump seized the opportunity to put himself under the spotlight, together with the Blues' players, as they were presented with the CWC trophy following a 3-0 victory over Paris Saint-Germain.

Speaking during a Q&A at his football academy in Spain, Chelsea's full-back Marc Cucurella even jokingly said that Trump has Noni Madueke's golden medal since the forward left the squad before the showdown to sign a contract with Arsenal.
"He [Trump] put it in his pocket. He has it there in the White House, very well placed," referring to Trump's viral moment presenting the trophy to Chelsea captain Reece James, which saw the former president linger on the podium as the Blues celebrated.
Moreover, Cucurella admitted they were surprised by Trump's constant presence on stage, even after lifting the CWC trophy.
"We had been told that, as a rule, he would come to present us with the trophy. And we couldn't pick it up until he left. We were all waiting there for him to leave, but the guy didn't want to leave. We even looked at him and said,' Get him up, I'm staying here.' Nobody said anything to him; I was scared."
