The Kenyan International parted ways with Zambian giants Zesco United after the expiry of his contract

A number of big teams in Africa are eager to land the signature of Kenyan International Jesse Were after he parted ways with Zesco United after half a decade at the record Zambian champions.

Tusker FC, his employer before he left for greener pastures in Zambia, are interested but according to a reliable source, the experienced striker is not keen on a return to the Kenyan League.

Tanzanian sides Azam and Simba SC have expressed some form of interest but it is the latter that have already made contact.

However, Zambian side Kansashi Dynamos are the frontrunners to land his signature as the allure to remain in Zambia where he is already settled appeals to him.

"Kansashi has already spoken to Jesse and a deal could be announced soon. It will be easier for him to settle in another team in Zambia than anywhere else and Kansashi also presented a good deal to him." A source in Zambia revealed to Mozzart Sport.

Kansashi Dynamos is owned by Kansanshi Mines which is one of the biggest mining companies in Zambia.
