Bernabeu turns on its own stars as Los Blancos survive, but the crisis is far from over
Xabi Alonso has left, but Real Madrid's problems have stayed - and they are multiplying.
Yes, Los Blancos survived Levante this Saturday. They won 2-0 after a suffocating first half and finally breathed again following a traumatic run. But make no mistake: nothing is flourishing at the Bernabeu.

After a defeat to Barcelona in the Super Cup and a humiliating Copa del Rey exit to Albacete, the fans showed no mercy. The whistles were indiscriminate. The targets were clear: Kylian Mbappe and Vinicius Jr. The stadium crackled with tension, so much so that supporters began arguing among themselves in the stands.
Before kick-off, whistles drowned out the warm-up, though a few applauded. Chaos. Hysteria. And a message aimed straight at the club president, Florentino Perez:
"Florentino, resign!"

Vinicius has been branded the leader of a spoiled gang, accused by sections of the crowd of pushing Xabi Alonso out. Mbappe, doubtful before kick-off, escaped slightly lighter treatment. In such an atmosphere, focus was a luxury Real Madrid did not have.
The first half was agony. A handful of desperate balls in behind for Mbappe, nothing more. New coach Alvaro Arbeloa, making his league debut, was fighting Levante, the clock, and the crowd.
Credit where it's due: Arbeloa reacted.
Camavinga offered little against Levante's low block, so the manager took some risks. Arda Guler arrived at the break, as Franco Mastantuono followed soon after.
Relief came via Levante's collapse. A disastrous mistake by Adri gifted Mbappe a needless foul, a penalty, and the opener. The dam broke, and shortly after, Raul Asensio rose to head home the second. Madrid won, as the air cleared briefly. But the whistles? They are still echoing.
