Liverpool fans are hurrying to get the shirt from their record signing
This July, Liverpool is splurging like never before. With a month still left before the transfer window closes, the English champions have already spent 308,068,000, and the two biggest deals of the current transfer window belong to them. Hugo Ekitike was signed for 95 million euros, but an even more staggering amount was shelled out for Florian Wirtz — 125 million. Liverpool has opened the vault; whether it pays off on the pitch remains to be seen, but on the marketing front, they’re already winning. Jerseys are flying off the shelves.

As soon as squad numbers were announced at Anfield, fans rushed to buy the newcomers’ shirts. Florian Wirtz took the iconic number 7, and it's already the most sought-after in the club store. In just the first hour, Liverpool sold an incredible 42,000,000 jerseys of the German playmaker! If we assume the average price per jersey is 90 — considering many kids probably asked their parents for one, and children’s jerseys are cheaper — the gross revenue in that first hour alone was around 3.8 million euros. And sales are just getting started…
As for the rest of the new arrivals:
Milos Kerkez chose number 6
Hugo Ekitike will wear 22
Giorgi Mamardashvili picked 25
Jeremie Frimpong opted for 30
Conor Bradley took 12
Liverpool also kicked off its 10-year kit deal with Adidas, reportedly worth over 600 million pounds. The new kits have been unveiled and if the Reds can pull of the Alexander Isak signing, who knows how much will they earn on jerseys alone. So — what do you think of the jerseys?
