Before kick-off, Police were sitting pretty at the summit of the table with 12 points, having won all their matches, while Bungoma were eighth with four points in as many matches.

The league leaders began strongly with early indications of dominance as Emily Moranga conjured a chance within the first minute but shot wide.

The Law Enforcers were not to be denied in the fifth minute as Puren Alukwe’s strike found the back of the net for the game's opener.

The home side kept dominating but with little to show for it, leading to the half-hour mark. However, they once again found life in the 33rd minute when Ugandan import Margaret Kunihira unleashed a long-range strike that beat the goalkeeper to double Police’s lead as the teams headed for the break.

In the second half, substitute Rebecca Okwaro added her name on the scoresheet in the 72nd minute before Medina Abubakar added a fourth five minutes later to complete a 4-0 victory.

Police now have 15 points from five games and maintain their place at the summit of the WPL table.
