Union Berlin were on the top until this round, but the 5-0 loss means Bayern Munich have just leapfrogged them

There ain't too many leagues out there as crazy as Bundesliga. Imagine, for instance, Manchester City conceding five against some EPL strugglers. Impossible? Pretty much, yes.

Well, it happened today in Germany, as their until-Sunday table-toppers, Union Berlin, lost 5-0 to Bayer Leverkusen, who are vigorously fighting to avoid relegation.

The latter are led by former Liverpool and Bayern Munich ace Xabi Alonso, who's turning the tables since he arrived at the club that played in the Champions League finals some 20 years ago. This incredible Leverkusen victory - with all of the goals coming after the half-time break - detached the Berlin side from the summit, now two points adrift of none other than Bayern Munich.

Andrich netted almost straight after the teams returned from the dressing rooms, Moussa Diaby added a quick brace, and Hlozek definitely killed the game with 20 minutes left on the clock. Bakker poured in the fifth for a total embarrassment of the title contenders.
