Warriors and KPA are tied 1-1 after the opening games in Mombasa last weekend.
The clash between champions Ulinzi Warriors and their toughest Kenya Basketball Federation (KBF) men's league rivals Kenya Ports Authority (KPA) will continue as planned.
Game Three through to Five of the best-of-five final series are scheduled for Saturday 23 April to Monday 25 April at Nyayo Indoor Arena.
Former player Dennis Opiyo had moved to the Sports Dispute Tribunal (SDT) on 14 April seeking to stop the playoffs on claims that the federation had fraudulently manipulated results of the league matches to allow Warriors to participate in the playoffs.
On Tuesday 19 April, the case was first mentioned with a subsequent mention on 21 April when a determination was made culminating in another postponement.
"We had another mention on Friday when it was established that the petitioner's advocate had not served the federation's advocate as agreed in the first mention. The case has been scheduled for another mention on Monday 25 April at 2.30 pm," KBF Secretary-General Ambrose Kisoi told Mozzart Sport.
Opiyo had called on the Tribunal to declare that KBF has violated League and Competition Rules with regard to the qualification of teams for the men’s 2021 playoffs.
His petition claims that a scoresheet issued by the KBF dated 27 November 2021 indicating that Embakassi Youth (EMYBA) had forfeited their match against Warriors was forged.
He had called for the disqualification of the soldiers from the playoffs and a restart was ordered based on the correct standings in accordance with the rules.
