CAVB Club Championship: Familiar foes KCB, Pipeline to clash in the semis

Kenya Prisons bid the championship goodbye after losing to KCB
It will be a Kenyan affair in the semi-finals of the African Volleyball Club Championships as Kenya Pipeline and KCB will face off after triumphing in their respective quarterfinal matches in Kelibia, Tunisia on Saturday.
KCB who finished ninth during the 2019 edition eliminated a familiar opponent and pre-match favourites in Kenya Prisons 3-0 ( 25-17,25-14 and 25-15) to advance to the last four.
It's official: KCB will face Kenya Pipeline in the African Clubs Championship semis. KCB humiliated Kenya Prisons 3-0 (25-17, 25-14, 25-14) in the quarters, while Pipeline beat FAP of Cameroon 3-1.

Consequently, the bankers will face the Oilers who broke sweat to beat FAP of Cameroon 3-1(25-15,26-24,25-27,25-13) to book a date with their compatriots on Monday at the same venue.
While KCB had a relatively easy time on the court against the 2013 champions, Pipeline who won the first set had to do it the hard way as FAP took the first set.
The Paul Gitau coached side however, unleashed their best in the subsequent sets that were closely contested but ultimately prevailed.
Egyptian side Al Ahly will face hosts Kelibia while Carthage will tackle Rwanda Patriotic Army in the other quarterfinal matches.
