This is the side's fourth premier league title

Equity Bank Hawks are the 2023/2024 Kenya Basketball Federation (KBF) women’s league champions.

The Bankers, under the tutelage of Ben Oluoch and former player Samba Mjomba faced off with a resilient Kenya Ports Authority (KPA), out to defend their title.

After dominating Game One and Two played in Nairobi, Hawks lost both Games Three and Four on Saturday and Sunday to set up a decider clash played on Monday 22 July.

The final clash lived up to expectations, the side's exchanging leads 11 times with seven ties in a match that had to be decided in Over Time (OT), Hawks winning 76-74 to lift the title with a 3-2 record in the best-of-five final series.

A 21-16 first quarter lead for the Bankers was and early signal that they meant business and the Dockers would have to dig deep to deny them. KPA took the second quarter 20-19, to trail by four going into the half-time break.

Oluoch's charges extended the lead to 8 with a 16-12 third quarter but the Dockers had other ideas outscoring Hawks 18-10 in the last period to send the game to OT. The Bankers held on for 10-08 in five minutes to lift their fourth title.

Betty Kananu was named Most Valuable Player (MVP).
