The president of the basketball federation of France revealed in an interview for RMC

The big battle for Joel Embiid has been simmering for a long time. "We never announced anything official about Joel Embiid. There were various news from all sides, and I repeat that I want him to come. However, we never gave the information that he agreed to play for us. Even today, he is not part of the French team. We are working on that, we have a strong desire. He knows that. We had the opportunity to discuss it with him and wait for a decision. The American team is also very interested in him. Cameroon will play pre-Olympic qualifiers. The situation is very delicate from his point of view," Siutat concluded.
