Defending champions KCB booked their place in the 2026 Mozzart Kenya Cup women's volleyball final after edging Kenya Prisons 3-2 in a thrilling semi-final at the Kasarani Indoor Arena on Saturday.

The eagerly awaited contest lived up to expectations as two of Kenya's volleyball powerhouses produced a fiercely contested battle, with both a place in the final and prize money on the line.
The Bankers made the brighter start, taking the opening set 25-23 before Kenya Prisons responded in the second to level the match with a 25-22 victory.
They regained control by claiming the third set 25-19, but Kenya Prisons refused to back down and forced a decisive fifth set after winning the fourth 25-22.
With the match hanging in the balance, KCB relied on their experience in the deciding set, holding their nerve to secure a 15-12 victory and complete a hard-fought 3-2 triumph.
The result sends the defending champions back to the Kenya Cup final, where they will have the opportunity to retain their title.
Standing between KCB and another trophy will be Kenya Pipeline, who booked the first spot in the final after defeating Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) in straight sets earlier in the day.
Pipeline were made to work hard in the opening set as DCI matched them point for point with powerful attacking play.
Neither side could establish the required two-point advantage at 25 points, forcing the set into extended play before Pipeline eventually prevailed 29-27.
Having survived the early scare, Pipeline took full control of the contest.
The former champions comfortably won the second set 25-16 before completing the sweep with a 25-18 victory in the third to seal a commanding 3-0 win and advance to the final.
Sunday's final at the Kasarani Indoor Arena will pit the defending champions against one of the country's most decorated volleyball clubs in what promises to be another blockbuster encounter.
Kenya Prisons and DCI will meet in the third-place playoff, with both teams still having an opportunity to finish the competition on the podium.
The champions will receive Ksh300,000 in prize money, while the runners-up will pocket Ksh200,000.
The third-placed team will earn Ksh100,000, with referees also set to receive Ksh100,000 courtesy of tournament sponsors Mozzart Bet.
