"I am very happy to be back in Greece and to be joining the historic Aris team"

The Kenyan Olympian has spent two stints in Greece before, competing for Panionios and Lamia, and was the go-to when the club, previously home to another Kenyan international Sharon Chepchumba in the 2023 season, were in search of depth.
"I wasn't looking to leave Israel that soon but when Thessaloniki came calling I saw a bigger opportunity for growth, having played against the team before. I also love Greece and the league here so it was not a difficult decision," Adhiambo, who played her opening match for her new side on Wednesday, 21 January against PAOK in the Greek Cup, told Mozzart Sport.
The move has been attributed to her stellar show with the national women's team last year where she cemented herself as one of Malkia Strikers’ best assets at the World Championships in Thailand, emerging as Kenya's top scorer.
The 26-year-old international began her career at Kenyan Pipeline where she played until 2022. She received her first international transfer to Turkey, featuring for Tarsus Belediyespor before moving to Greece for two years where she featured for Panionios, in the 2023-2024 season and the first half of the 2024-25 season before moving to Lamia in the second half of the same season.
"I am very happy to be back in Greece and to be joining the historic Aris team. We have work ahead of us to achieve the team's goals and make our people happy," she offered in her first interview back in Greece.
