Sammy Mulinge coached KPA, in a fifth-place classification match, came from behind to beat Tunisia's Kelibia club 3-2 to retain the position they finished in when they made their debut in the continental event last year.
The Tunisians bagged the opening two sets 25-20, 25-22 to gain a 2-0 advantage but Mulinge kept his men motivated as they made a comeback for victory.

Kenyans claimed the 5th position in the championship whiles COK finished 6
The dockers won the third set 25-22 to get their hopes of a comeback up. The fourth set was won in 25-20 forcing the encounter into a decider, and there was no turning back for KPA who clinched the final set 15-10.
Heading to the Championship, KPA held hopes of doing better than on their debut but a straight-sets loss to Cameroon's Port Douala in the quarter-finals crashed their hopes.
Meawhile, the other Kenyan representative Equity Bank managed a tenth place finish on their debut. The side got a ticket to the continental extravaganza following the withdrawal of Kenya Volleyball Federation (KVF) champions General Service Unit (GSU).
The bankers registered one win in the group stages against Port Douala in a 3-2 outcome. With CAVB having introduced a round of 16 after the group stage, the bankers were eliminated and relegated to 9 to 14 classification matches.
