Having marked her WNBA debut with eight points last Sunday against Minnesota Lynx, Okot this time ended her brief spell on the floor scoreless, but recorded her team’s third-most rebounds, five.
The outing at College Park Center was her least productive since crossing over from South Carolina to the WNBA last month, having already been dominant through training camp and preseason.
That said, however, Atlanta relied on the high-scoring duo of Allisha Gray and Jordin Canada to pull clear of the hosts, Wings, following what was a close contest in Arlington.
Both teams, which won their WNBA opening games over the weekend, played an ultra-competitive first three quarters before the visitors opened up a lead early in the final stanza, and held on for the win.
Dream trailed 59-58 entering the fourth period, but opened the fourth-quarter scoring courtesy of a three-pointer from Gray, to get a lead they would not surrender.
Gray bombed a long trey a few seconds later, and Canada followed with a floater in the lane to open a 66-59 advantage with 8:05 to play.
Dallas pulled within three points on two occasions, lastly at 68-65 on a Paige Bueckers jumper with 5:33 to play, but Canada answered with a driving layup on the ensuing possession, and the Wings never pulled within a single score again.

The Dream stretched their advantage to as many as 10 points before coasting to the finish.
Gray led the team scoring with 26 points off 9-20 shooting, with all of Canada, Rhyne Howard and Angel Reese putting up double-digits with 19, 14 and 12 points respectively.
Okot’s next chance to make an impression comes up against Aja Wilson’s defending champions Las Vegas Aces at home on Sunday, 17 May (8:30 pm EAT).
