The Moi Educational Centre is set to host the fourth edition of the 2023 Private and International Preparatory Schools Sports Association (PIPSSA) Swimming Championships slated for this upcoming weekend; 3-4 June 2023.
The event - which is expected to attract both development and competitive swimmers from various countries - is the third PIPSSA event this year and follows the postponed Eastlands Swimming Championships that had initially been scheduled for early last month on 8 April at Umoja 1 Primary School.
“PIPSSA Kenya invites you to enter your prestigious school / team/ swimmer at PIPSSA Invitational Swimming Championship on 3rd and 4th June, 2023 at Moi Educational Centre,” a statement from the PIPSSA-Kenya Secretariat read on Tuesday. “This event will attract both development and competitive swimmers and enable them to start the term in style. Our swimming gala staff and organizers have dedicated themselves to ensuring an enjoyable experience for every team involved.”
Four counties including Nairobi, Machakos, Kajiado and Kiambu are expected to take part in the event that will also incorporate various schools under the same umbrella including; Lukenya Academy, Foresight Academy, Moi Educational Centre, Dashing Dolphins, Juja St. Peter's, Nova Pioneer Tatu, Ongata Rongai and Early Bird school.
The gala, apart from awarding quality awards for the top swimmers in different time categories, will act as a qualifying event for the famous Alliance 'Bush' Invitational Swimming Gala scheduled for July, 2023 at Alliance Girls High School, Kiambu.
Mozzart Sport last week confirmed that KSF Kiambu entered into a partnership with Alliance High School, one that will provide an opportunity to spot the most talented swimmers in the region, with the school administration extending its hand to marry their co-curricular activities with on-school activities.
