The youngster joined the Gideon Tarus-coached GSU from Equity Bank where he played in the 2019 season.
General Service Unit (GSU) right attacker Kelvin Omuse will make his continental debut with the paramilitary side as they take part in the 20-team Confederation of African Volleyball Federation (CAVB) men's club championship that serves off on Sunday, 18 April in Tunisia.
Omuse has a huge task of filling the void left by Kenya Volleyball Federation's Most Valuable Player (MVP) Abiud Chirchir who is currently playing in Tunisia with Club Olympique de Kélibia. GSU and Kenya Ports Authority (KPA) are the Kenyan representatives in the championship.

The youngster will play alongside veteran attacker David 'Tonje' Kirwa in right attack as GSU hope to reach the semi-final of the competition, after finishing in ninth place in 2019.
"I am new but my teammates have been amazing in helping me settle. My position is extremely important so I will have to give it my all to deliver both at the continental and national level. Coming to GSU, I knew the kind of pressure I would be under to deliver as we are only two in the position but so far I have had great support from the team."
"I know this is a big stage and the club is banking on all of us to be at our best to deliver and that's what we have been preparing for. I am excited to play on this stage," said Omuse in a pre-event interview.

He continued, "I have had to change my game to fit GSU's system of playing and I had to do that fast so that we can gel well ahead of the championship. Their blocking, attacking and service just shows how much exposure all the players in the team have had but I had to adjust fast and I believe we will do well in Tunisia."
A Butula Boys alumnus under coach Conrad Asakwa, Omuse joined Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) in 2018 after clearing high school. The military side introduced him to club volleyball, making it to the playoffs on his club volleyball debut.
"KDF was my first team from high school and everyone in the team took me in and was willing to help my game grow. They were all, from the players and coaching stuff, my mentors. Even after I left they have continued to help my game and I will forever be grateful to them," Omuse offered.
His 2019 season was spent with Equity Bank where he missed the playoffs.
