Humprey Kayange and Hellen Obiri remain unopposed for the Male and Female athlete representative.

The National Olympic Committee of Kenya (NOC-K) will hold its elections on December 9 with sitting president Paul Tergat going unopposed for his second term.

Other positions, however, will see the incumbents fight to retain their seats with several former holders back to try their luck in the other hotly contested positions.

The positions up for grabs include the president, first deputy president, second deputy president, secretary-general, deputy SG, treasurer, and the deputy treasurer. Other seats are Male athlete representative, Female athlete representative, Woman representative as well as three committee members.

The elections had earlier been scheduled for 12 and 16 November but an invite to the committee's Executive Board members to attend an IOC meeting saw the elections postponed on both occasions.

Kenya Judo Federation president Shadrack Maluki is due to defend his seat as the first deputy president against John Kilonzo, a director at Kenya Rugby Union (KRU), and Kenya Hockey Union (KHU) chairman Nashon Randiek.

The second deputy president position pits incumbent and Kenya Volleyball Federation (KVF) boss Waithaka Kioni against former world women's marathon champion Tegla Loroupe.

Incumbent Anthony Kariuki and KVF Nairobi branch official, Moses Mbuthia are set to battle it out for the treasurer's position while Agnes Oluoch will go up against John Ogolla for the assistant treasurer's position.

The Secretary-General seat has attracted incumbent Francis Paul, current Deputy Secretary-General Francis Mutuku and Kenya Table Tennis Association (KTTA) president Andrew Mudibo. With Mutuku going up, the Deputy Secretary-General post has now attracted Executive Committee member Shoaib Vayani, former Deputy Secretary-General James Chacha and Soft Ball Federation official Francis Karugu.

Kenya Basketball Federation’s (KBF) Paul Otula and Winnie Kamau will be seeking to defend their committee members' positions and are up against June Waweru, Boxing Federation of Kenya treasurer Benjamin Musa, Kenya Cycling Federation general secretary, Charles Mose, and Athletics Kenya (AK) official Barnaba Korir. KVF’s Mududa Waweru will battle Paurvi Rawal for the Women’s Representative position.
