Top four amateur golfers to miss Nandi Bears KAGC leg

The Prize Money for the event is set at Ksh400,000, with the winner walking away with Ksh92,500.

NCBA Nandi Bears Open Shield is set to take place from Friday 4 to Sunday 6 October with 74 amateur golfers fighting for the top prize.

The tournament features a competitive field, led by home players Nelson Koech, Elly Barno, Ebill Omollo from Vet Lab Sports Club, and Daniel Kiragu from Muthaiga Golf Club who are favourites in the absence of the KAGC leaders.

Kenya Amateur Golf Championships (KAGC) top four players Michael Karanga, John Lejirma, Elvis Muigua, and Adel Balala are away in Rwanda representing the country in the Africa Region IV Championship set for Wednesday 2 to Sunday 6 October.

“This is one of the ongoing 28 events in the KAGC 2024 calendar organized by the KGU and sponsored by NCBA which counts for the Golfer of the Year award and offers a platform for golfers to earn points to the World Amateur Golf Ranking (WAGR),” he added
