Biko Adema will return to action in the Kenya Cup on Saturday
Kenyan international Biko Adema has cut short his two-year break from competitive rugby as he returns to the Nondescripts team to face Impala Saracens in Saturday’s Kenya Cup clash.
Niggly knee and ankle injuries kept the former Kenya Sevens ace with a knock in his last game for the Kenya Simbas back in 2018 being career-threatening as he required reconstructive surgery.
Speaking to Mozzart Sport, Nondies Team Manager Kevin Were revealed that Adema had been training with the team but he will be slowly integrated into the game to get some match sharpness.

Kenyan international Biko Adema makes his comeback off the bench after having a two years break from Rugby. Head Coach Willis "Fox" Ojal has made changes to the starting line up as he seeks to continue the winning streak.
“He has been training consistently, you have to follow a process to ensure his smooth return to action that’s why the coaches have decided to put him on the bench,”
“Adema had not stopped playing rugby, he has been having some niggly injuries and he has also been coming to Nondies occasionally to train and also had work commitments that he had to sort out,” said Were.
During his break from rugby, the 33-year-old took up teaching roles at Banda and Braeburn School as a Physical Education (PE) instructor as he doubled up as the director of Safe House Records which he co-owns with his brother.
Were emphasized the positive impact Adema will have on the squad as he boasts of an impressive CV after amassing over 55 caps for the national Sevens team and over 30 caps for the 15’s team.

“He has an impact on the young players who feel motivated to play with him, he was once an Olympian, has played for the Kenya Sevens and 15’s and will motivate players around him,”
“We might see in action over the weekend, he will definitely get a run on the pitch but he is not match-fit, this is his first game after a very long time and that is why he has to come from the bench,” added Were.
