
Blak Blad coach Motto Williams attains World Rugby Level 2 S&C Accreditation

The Kenyatta University head coach was unveiled as the latest recipient of the certification.
Blak Blad head coach Motto William has become the latest tactician in the country to join the few elite number of personnel who have attained accreditation from rugby’s governing body, World Rugby.
This week, the Kenyatta University head coach was unveiled as the latest recipient of the World Rugby Level 2 Strength and Conditioning Accreditation as he became just the fourteenth man in the country to receive such certification.

“Greatful for all the teams that gave me the experience to be here; Kenya U20 (Chipu), Blak Blad RFC, Blad Babez RFC, Harambee Starlets U20 Soccer Team, KU KUSA teams preparations (Dec Camps) and all the age grade schools have been part of including Oshwal, Peponi School, Kilimani Junior. Thank you for all being there and for the support. It is humbling to be among 14 in the whole country,” a delighted Williams posted on his part.
Back in December 2021, other coaches in the country added a feather to their cap as they acquired some of the rarest accolades within the boarders.
KCB RFC head coach Curtis Olago attained the World Rugby Level Three Coaching Certification becoming only the third Kenyan after current Kenya Simbas head coach Paul Odera and Charles Ngovi to attain the qualification.
Nakuru head coach Felix Oloo, Kevin Amiani and KCB assistant manager Dennis Mwanja also earned the World Rugby Level 2 coaching certifications.
Among the perks that come with the World Rugby Level Three Coaching Certification include coach the following elements safely: Restarts; Continuity; Defence; Counter Attack Identify Critical Incidents in a game, Plan and review a season, Manage other coaching and ancillary staff.
The World Rugby Level Three Coaching Certification takes about 150 learning hours to complete and includes re-course work, 10 x 3 hour modules, season diary and 2 live assessment visits.
