Kenya national men’s under 20 rugby side, Chipu head coach Curtis Olago has named a 37-man provincial squad that will be out to defend the Barthes Cup clinched back in 2021.

The tournament is set to kick off from Saturday 9 April to Sunday 17 April and is set to feature eight nations in the name of Namibia, Zambia, Uganda, Tunisia, Madagascar, Ivory Coast and Zimbabwe.

Top Fry Nakuru full-back Samuel Mwaura has earned a call up to the side as his opposite number at Impala Saracens Anderson Oduor who was in action in the Mwamba Cup last weekend.

Chipu edged Madagascar 21-20 in the 2021 Barthes Cup final to retain the title they won back in 2019 with the 2020 edition failing to kick-off due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
