The former Impala Saracens speedster announced the joyous news on Tuesday, 30 June, through a collaborative Instagram post with his wife, sharing moments from their intimate wedding ceremony.

The wedding comes nearly three months after Marube revealed his engagement on Sunday, 5 April, with the couple now making their union official in a celebration attended by close friends and family.

"Such a special, intimate, beautiful celebration. Thank you to our friends and family who consistently show up for us, even at the last minute. The future is brighter than the present," the couple wrote in the joint Instagram post.

The announcement has been warmly received within Kenya's rugby fraternity, where Marube remains a familiar figure thanks to his exploits with both club and country.

Known for his blistering pace on the wing, Marube represented Kenya Sevens under former head coach Innocent Simiyu, featuring in several major tournaments including the Safari 7s and the World Rugby Sevens Series.

His international breakthrough came in 2021 when he was named among five debutants in Kenya's squad for the Vancouver Sevens, marking a significant milestone in his rugby journey.

Marube's path to the national team was far from conventional. An alumnus of Itierio Boys High School, he initially explored a career in acting after completing his studies before eventually committing to rugby.

His rise began at Kisii RFC, where he played a key role in helping the club win the Nationwide League title and earn promotion to the Championship League.

Before making his mark at Impala RFC, Marube also featured for the Catholic University of East Africa (CUEA) Monks and Kisii RFC in the National Sevens Circuit, steadily establishing himself as one of the country's exciting backline prospects.

The 2023 season further showcased his talent as he competed in a series of international and invitational tournaments, including Rugby Town, the Mondial Amateur World Cup, and multiple Rugby 10s Championships with the Rhinos.

Away from the field, Marube now joins a growing list of Kenyan rugby players who have publicly celebrated relationships with Caucasian partners, following the likes of Alvine Otieno and Willy Ambaka.

The entire Mozzart Sport fraternity wishes him all the best as he begins married life in Canada.
