At Impala Club, a battle of the newbies will ensue with Impala RFC taking on South Coast Pirates
The 2024/25 Kenya Cup season enters its third week on Saturday 7 November with six matches on the card slated for different parts of the country.

KCB Rugby vs Strathmore Leos - KCB Sports Club, 3 pm
The thrilling Jerry Olola Cup highlights this weekend’s action.
The thrilling KCB Rugby vs Strathmore Leos match is named after the late Jerry Olola who passed away in June 2022.

Olola was part of the Strathmore Leos squad that finished fourth in the 2021/22 Kenya Cup season. He was released to Strathmore Leos alongside Maxwell Atera and Stephen Osumba. They played a key role as the side reached the second consecutive Kenya Cup semi-final.
Olola also played for Kenya Cup side Homeboyz. He later moved to KCB rugby and was part of the squad that had a successful run recently.
KCB Rugby who are in search of a third consecutive win this season will welcome the Leos who have not tasted a win since the season began. The Bankers have recorded huge wins over South Coast Pirates and Kisumu RFC while Leos failed to go past Nondies and Menengai Oilers. They will be hunting for a win.
Impala RFC Vs South Coast Pirates – Impala Club- 4:00 pm
Meanwhile, Kenya Cup newbies South Coast Pirates will be keen to drown their fellow newbies Impala RFC in a match slated for the Impala Club. The Pirates started their maiden top-tier campaign with a 95-5 loss to KCB Rugby before going down 45-3 to Kabras RFC. They will be looking to pick their first Kenya Cup win when they face the Gazelles.
Impala RFC on the other hand will also be in the hunt for a win. They were handed a rude 33-6 welcome to the Kenya Cup by Kabras RFC before going down to Kenyatta University’s Blak Blad in their second match. They will be eager to make a statement against the Pirates.
Kabras Sugar Vs Kisumu RFC – Kakamega Showground- 2:00 pm
Kenya Cup defending champions Kabras RFC will host Kisumu RFC in an early kickoff match slated for the ASK Kakamega Showground. The hosts are coming off back-to-back victories over Impala RFC and South Coast Pirates and they will be eager to go past the Lakeside team. Struggling Kisumu RFC on the other hand have been in miserable form this year, losing to KCB Rugby and Menengai Oilers with huge margins and they will be looking to amend their form.
Menengai Oilers Vs Mwamba RFC – Nakuru ASK 3:00 pm
Gibson Weru’s Menengai Oilers will welcome Mwamba RFC in Nakuru. The Oilers have registered impressive wins this season, having heaped a 76-13 misery on Kisumu RFC before defeating Strathmore Leos 38-8. They will be keen to maximize on the home advantage and keep the fine form going.
Their opponents Mwamba RFC have not tasted a win this year and they will be looking to open their winning bank in Nakuru.
Nondescript Vs Nakuru RFC – Racecourse- 3:00 pm
Nakuru RFC will make a short trip to Nairobi to face Nondies RFC. The former Kenya Cup champions started their season on the wrong footing, losing to Blak Blad before going down to Kenya Harlequin. They will be looking to bounce back to winning ways. Nondies on the other hand have been in impressive form since the season kicked off, registering wins in all the matches played. They will be looking to build upon their performance to register a third win.
Kenya Harlequins Vs KU Blak Blad – Impala Club- 2:00 pm
Kenya Harlequin will host Kenyatta University’s Blak Blad in an expected mouth-watering clash. The students have always posed a threat to the Quins. Their last Kenya Cup meeting ended 9-3 in favor of Blak Blad. The Quins are however aware of this threat and will not be underestimating the students.
They will be keen to utilize the home advantage to propel them to success.
They have received a major boost with the return of experienced forward Emmanuel Mavala ahead of the clash.
