2016 champions Kabras Sugar and 2021/2022 Kenya Cup surprise package Menengai Oilers have already named the squads that will battle for glory in this season's campaign come the championship deciding match that is set for Saturday 12 March 2022 at the Bull Ring Arena in Kakamega.
After an odd defying semifinal win over reigning and eight time Kenya Cup winners KCB, Gibson Weru's Oilers booked their place in the finals for the very first time in their history.
To that squad, Weru has made one change ahead of the decider with Barthes Cup winner Tyson Maina returning to the back row where he will partner with Nickson Ochieng and skipper Chrispine Shitundo, Brian Sinei dropping to the bench.
Semifinal hero Geoffrey Ominde who scored all the points in the 17-24 win stays in his flyhalf position while former team captain Clinton Odhiambo who started in the back row last weekend returns to the second row to partner Wallace Onyango. Former Kabras duo Coleman Were and Vincent Mwikhali stay in the front row.
