Both sides had reached the last eight without taking to the field in the Round of 16, with KCB progressing via a walkover against Daystar University while Blak Blad benefitted from Mwamba RFC’s withdrawal. Despite that, there was little doubt about who would control this meeting.

The result underlined the Bankers’ continued dominance over the students, having also beaten them 45–3 the last time they met in late January.
KCB wasted no time in asserting themselves, launching an early onslaught through back-to-back tries from Fidel Maina and Andycolle Omollo.
Levy Amunga, returning to the squad and slotting in at fly-half, added the extras to Omollo’s effort as the hosts took firm control.
Amunga, an Administration Police coach and police officer, was also influential in the attack, crossing over before stepping up to convert again.
The Bankers’ momentum continued when former Blak Blad fly-half Lionel Ajeliti dotted down, with Amunga once more splitting the uprights.
Blak Blad attempted to interrupt the flow, but handling errors and a lack of cohesion proved costly.

Bob Muhati capitalised on their sluggishness to add another try, converted by Amunga, before Dominic Sande finished off a sweeping move for yet another score that was similarly converted.
Further tries from Eric Miheso and Emmanuel Opondo stretched the gap heading into the break, as KCB’s experienced core tore through a youthful Blak Blad lineup.
The students, however, managed a late response just before halftime when Cyprian Dawa caught the defence napping to run in their only try, with Noor Aden adding the conversion.
The second half followed a familiar script. KCB resumed their dominance with Sande and Ajeliti each completing doubles, while Patrick Ouko and Stephen Osumba also crossed over.
With Amunga substituted, the hosts failed to add conversions after the interval, but the damage had long been done as they closed out an emphatic victory.
Despite the commanding win, progression to the semifinals is not automatic for the Bankers.
The 2025/26 Enterprise Cup is being contested under a new, expanded regional format, where four Kenyan teams advancing from the domestic quarterfinals will face four Ugandan sides in cross-border clashes.
KCB must now await confirmation of their regional opponents, with semifinal fixtures slated for Saturday, 21 March and Saturday, 11 April before the final on Saturday, 23 May.
Elsewhere, Nondescripts RFC secured their advancement with a 27–17 win over Strathmore Leos at the Ngong Racecourse.

Kabras RFC also moved on after last weekend’s 48–13 victory over Kenya Harlequin, a match that doubled as both a Kenya Cup and Enterprise Cup fixture.
In Nakuru, Menengai Oilers progressed without kicking a ball after being awarded a walkover following Nakuru RFC’s withdrawal.
