Kenya Cup numbers: Ogeta leads try-scoring charts entering Week Three

Elsewhere in the KRU Championship, Quinto Ongo leads the scoring stats, having touched down a season-leading three times and accumulating a total of 26 points
Menengai Oilers' Beldad Ogeta leads the try-scoring chart after Kenya Cup week two action.
The fleet-footed speedster has scored five tries in the opening two matches.
The lanky winger, who is also a Kenya Simbas international, will be hoping to continue with his fine form when the Oilers welcome Strathmore Leos at the Refinery on Saturday.
He is closely followed by Kabras Sugar’s Derrick Ashihundu on four tries.

Ashiundu was leading the chart after his week one impressive showing against Kisumu RFC, where he scored four tries.
Ashiundu was making his maiden Kenya Cup appearance since March 2022, having sustained an injury during the final leg of the 2022 National Sevens Circuit against Daystar Falcons in Kakamega.
He made his return to action in the sevens circuit in the Tisap 7s in Eldoret after a lengthy layoff.
KCB’s Austin Sikutwa and Kabras Sugar’s George Nyambua are on three tries each.
Another 18 players are on two tries each.
Ogeta also leads the overall scoring charts; joint top with Sikutwa on 25 points, with Samuel Omolo from Catholic Monks second on 22 points.
Ashihundu is third on 20 points, with Ntabeni Dukisa rounding off the top four with 18 points.
Quinto Ongo leads the KRU Championship scoring stats, having touched down a season-leading three times and accumulating a total of 26 points.
The Impala winger is followed on the try scorers charts by Patrick Odongo (Daystar Falcons), Brian Ochieng (Impala), and Augustine Owino (Daystar Falcons) on two tries each.
He also leads the points scorers ahead of David Masinga (JKUAT Cougars,19 points) and Eddy Wambugu (Daystar Falcons, 14 points).
WEEK 3 SCHEDULE
At the same time, the venues, times, and fixtures for Kenya Cup week three action have been released.
All matches will be played on Saturday 16 December.
Kabras RFC will host the Catholic Monks at the Kakamega Showground while KCB Rugby welcome Homeboyz RFC at their traditional KCB Sports Club.

Mwamba RFC will make a short trip to the RFUEA Grounds to lock horns with Kenya Harlequins while Kisumu RFC will be seeking redemption as they visit Nondies RFC on the same grounds.
Menengai Oilers will welcome stubborn Strathmore Leos at the Nakuru Showground and Oilers will be on a revenge mission after falling to the students in last season's match.
Blak Blad RFC will also be in the hunt for a second win of the season when they welcome Nakuru RFC at the Kenyatta University's grounds.
