KRU part ways with CEO

Wabulwenyi served as the Kenyan Premier League (KPL) Public Relations and Marketing Manager from January 2013 to September 2014

The Kenya Rugby Union has parted ways with its Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Aggrey Wabulwenyi on mutual consent just months in office.

Wabulwenyi joined the union last year coming in to take over from Thomas Odundo who had been the acting CEO since Sylvia Kamau's time came to an end.

Again, Odundo will serve in an acting capacity for another stint as KRU embarks on the search for Wabulwenyi's replacement.

The Kenya Rugby Union Board of Directors announces to all Affiliates, Partners and the rugby fraternity that it has parted ways with its Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Aggrey Wabulwenyi, by mutual consent.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank Mr. Wabulwenyi for his service to the Kenya Rugby Union and the game of rugby and wish him all the best in his future endeavours.

In the interim, Mr. Thomas Odundo takes charge as the acting Chief Executive Officer.

Mr. Odundo currently serves as the KRU Director of Rugby and boasts vast knowledge and experience as a former international player, coach and administrator.

The Kenya Rugby Union will initiate a competitive recruitment process for a new Chief Executive Officer and plans to fill the post in due course.
